Tanner follows and trains with his close friend and workout buddy, Quentin McConathy. His workouts mostly comprise of weight training to gain more muscle.
In fact, at the age of 16, Tanner shared that his fast metabolism allowed him to eat whatever he wanted throughout the day without gaining any weight. He further added that he would not be able to eat enough to gain weight even if he wanted to.
Since naturally, he has an ectomorph body type, most of Tanner’s diet is geared towards a calorie surplus one to gain leaner muscle. - His mother bought him a trampoline when he was 7 years old and that was the first time when Tanner started flipping.
- He has had a natural aptitude for athletics since his early childhood. By the time Tanner turned 12, he had played almost every accessible sport in his hometown which included wrestling, baseball, basketball, and soccer. He had also won more than 80 trophies and quite a few medals in various sporting events but none of them felt like his calling until he started flipping.
- He is completely self-taught as far as all his YouTube stunts are concerned. Tanner took no diving or gymnastics lessons before he started filming his backflips on trampolines at home. Although he wanted to take Gymnastics classes in school, he never joined them fearing criticism and judgment.
- Tanner loves rock & roll music which inspired him to learn the guitar for 2 years from the age of 8 to 10.
